Perhaps Today is a Good Day to Dye's Superwash Merino is the workhorse of our fingering yarns. Soft, squishy, medium-fingering weight (Lorena, as a loose knitter, usually knits socks with a US 1 using this yarn; tighter knitters might find the perfect gauge on a US 2 or 3) and durable, this is a go-to yarn for socks. Held double and using a slightly larger needle, it can also be substituted for a pattern that calls for a sport-weight wool yarn.
