Who are we?

From left to right, we're Ginger, Lorena, and Sharon. We like yarn!
Hanks Yarn and Fiber is the newest yarn store in Gainesville, Florida. We have one simple goal - to create a friendly, welcoming, and
diverse community of fiber enthusiasts who share our passion for all
fibery endeavors (crochet! knitting! spinning! needle felting! weaving!
dyeing!) and to become a neighborhood center for all things fun and
crafty.
We are ourselves
knitters, crocheters, weavers, and spinners; and we carry a wide
selection of yarns and tools for every budget and taste, as well as
fibers, spinning wheels, and accessories. Plus we offer classes for
everyone from beginner to advanced, nine years old to ninety!
Stop
by and visit any time (our couch is always open, and the kettle is
always on). Or, feel free to join us on Friday nights for Unfinished
Object Friday after 5 PM, or Sundays for Stitch ‘n’ Bitch from 2-4:30
(our charity crochet/knitting group meets at the same time). Bring a
project and make some new friends in our relaxed and inspirational
atmosphere.
